Over $13.6 Million in donations received!

Your generosity has helped raise over $13.6 Million to date with donations to Canada For Haiti, and donations are still coming in. As the Canadian government’s matching funding program comes to an end on February 12th, 2010, the total amount Canada For Haiti has raised could exceed $27 Million.

All net proceeds to Canada for Haiti will be used directly for programs in Haiti by all participating humanitarian organizations. Please contact them directly for more information.

The fundraising phase of Canada for Haiti has been completed and no further donations will be accepted. Please contact any of the humanitarian organizations below if you are planning any additional donations or fundraising events.

Receipting for tax purposes:

World Vision Canada will be issuing tax receipts on behalf of Canada for Haiti for donations of $20.00 or more. We are working towards sending all receipts by the end of February. For Federal Income tax purposes your receipt can only be claimed on your year 2010 income taxes. If you provided an email address you will receive an e-receipt and if you provided just your address you will receive your receipt through the mail.

The Quebec provincial government will allow all Canada For Haiti charitable contributions given until the end of February 2010 to be used towards 2009 Quebec Provincial income taxes. Receipts to Quebec mailing address will be sent in early March
